A coffee lounge with the key phrase “The sensation of being in a park”
For a long time, the owner’s family has been selling tobacco on this site.I received a request to create a smoking coffee lounge where food & drink and tobacco sales had equal weight.The first point on my design plan was to uphold the thought that “smoking in confined spaces is not typically preferred”,so I stepped up to the challenge of sweeping away this discomfort, however possible.
Very recently I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to produce a place where one can feel exhilaration / elaxation in an interior;a place that takes the edge off an interior weak point,and goes beyond to offer a space of enjoyment and comfort.
People who smoke, people who don’t smoke, people who drink coffee, people who enjoy a chat.
Experiencing this closeness in a narrow space, I’ve aimed at the creation of an agreeable space with the theme “The sensation of being in a park” for everyone to pass their time in comfort.
