This is a multi-brand shop which sells clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. The owner has an ambition to increase customer satisfaction and get more repeaters; therefore his request was to create a space where he could perform installation art as a communication tool and share the concepts of the shop with customers.

Two main concepts I sensed from the owner were ‘experience’ and ‘presentation’. For the purpose of communicating through five senses, it was important for the owner “to present his thoughts in space and allow customers to experience them”.

Therefore I designed the shop to make completely block from the outer world so that customers can recognise ‘this is the space for experiencing something different from everyday life through their five senses’.

Using the small entrance door effectively, once customers duck into space, they will be welcomed by the white space as well as noticeable boxes and shelves.

The owner had a desire to perform installation art in the shop especially using words so that I set selves and boxes that allow displaying typography in any part of the surfaces and that can be seen from anywhere. Customers can walk around the space and experience installation art displayed on every surface. I also added a cover to the hanging cabinets which come into sight easily. The space is now used for installation whilst keeping it as an unrealistic space.
